Rev. Paul Winfred Nolan, age 68, of Rogersville, TN, passed away Monday morning, March 2, 2026 at his home surrounded by family. He was born May 15, 1957 in Whitwell, Tennessee, the son of the late Paul L. and Patricia Nolan.

He was a member and senior pastor of Russellville Church of God for 10 ½ years. He loved cruising, and preaching the Word of God. He played the guitar and loved to sing. He was known for changing the words to songs behind the pulpit as he preached. He served as State Youth Director for the Church of God in Alaska/BC; district overseer in Tennessee; a member of the State Youth Board in Tennessee. He preached in Cuba and in Ireland. He was also known for his humor. He knew no stranger.

Pastor Nolan is survived by his wife, Diane (Lamon) Nolan of 50 years; two sons, Richard Nolan (Christin) of White House, Tennessee and John Nolan (Rebecca)of Maryville, Tennessee; grandsons, Alex Nolan, Maryville, Tennessee, Kristopher Nolan and Jay Nolan, White House, Tennessee; brother, Gary Nolan (Dana) of Lebanon, Tennessee. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Russellville Church of God, Russellville, TN with Dr. Tim Hill, State Overseer of the Church of God and Dr. Derek Wilson, long time family friend and colleague officiating. Flowers and donations can be delivered to the Russellville Church of God on Friday, March 13, 2026 between 10am and 4pm and the day of the memorial service.
