Paul David Ory Sr.

Paul David Ory Sr., of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on January 17, 1951, in Shreveport, Louisiana, he is the beloved son of the late Rene and Winnifred Ory.

Paul's journey through life was shared with his wife of 50 years, Linda Bankster Ory. Together, they built a family foundation that was strong, loving, and nurturing. Paul is the proud father of Paul Ory Jr. (Catie) and Michael Ory (Crystal), and he took immense joy in time spent with his grandchildren, Macie, Keaton, Madeline, Amie, Brooklyn, Jewell, Mikey, Ashlyn, Zachary, Landon, Bently, and the late Grayson. He is also survived by his sister, Jane Garcia (Al), as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

Paul bravely served in the United States Army. After graduating from Jefferson Technical College, he embarked on a fulfilling career as a technician at Dow Chemical, where he was known for his skill and reliability.

A true New Orleans Saints fan, Paul rarely missed a game and often shared this passion with his family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with cheers and camaraderie. His ability to captivate an audience with his stories made him the heart of any gathering. Paul's storytelling was not just a hobby but a way of connecting with others, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of listening.

Paul's hands were rarely still, as he was the ultimate do-it-yourselfer. Whether it was a home repair or a creative project, he approached it with enthusiasm and skill. His love for gardening was evident in the beautiful oasis he created at home, which served as a tranquil retreat for his family and a symbol of his connection to nature.

Known for his easygoing nature, Paul made friends effortlessly. His genuine interest in people and their stories drew others to him, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Paul's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him, and his memory will be cherished forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.
