Paul Anthony Simpson of Chelmsford, MA
Paul Anthony Simpson, 82, of Chelmsford, MA died Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Lowell General Hospital. He was married to the Peggy (Crowe) Simpson with whom he celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary this year. Born in Evansville, Indiana he was the son of the late Paul D. Simpson and Margaret (Gleason) Simpson. He was raised in Indiana and graduated with a BA in Engineering from Northeastern University. He proudly served with the U.S.A.F. as a Staff Sergeant during the Vietnam War Paul worked at several manufacturing plants as an electronic technician including Cambion in Cambridge. He retired in 2001 and became a Certified Nurse Assistant at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington and later worked at Home Health Care. He enjoyed helping other people. Paul volunteered his time as a Eucharistic Minister for many years, he was involved with the St. Vincent De Paul Society, the Knights of Columbus, and volunteered at Living Waters in Lowell helping homeless. He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church, Chelmsford, MA. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters Alicia and her husband Chu Gomez of Dracut, Jennifer Cameron of Attleboro, MA, Paula Masotta of Gloucester, MA; his brother Stephen and his wife Linda Simpson of Morehead, KY; his six grandchildren Katrina Walker, Olivia Gomez, Jacob and Genevieve Cameron, Sarah and Dom Masotta, and great-grandchildren Autumn and Ben. The family would like to thank Dr. Sepulveda and the team at Lowell Kidney Dialysis for their wonderful work with Paul over the past years. Paul will now play with his beloved dog, Freckles.
FUNERAL NOTICE (DAYS)
Visiting hours Sunday August 10, 2025, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Funeral Monday, August 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM At St. John's The Evangelist 115 Middlesex St. Chelmsford, MA.
