Paul K. Skidmore

Paul Skidmore, 82 years of age, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Saturday, September 6, 2025 while visiting family in Ohio.

He was a devoted and loving husband, brother, father, uncle and friend to many. He is survived by his siblings, Francis Skidmore, Terry Skidmore (wife, Micha), Brenda and Jack Marsh (deceased), Pam and Nick Lalli (deceased).

He worked at Tenk Machine and Tool Company in Cleveland as plant manager for many years.

He had a passion for golf and had a large circle of friends that he would play with. He also loved hunting and fishing with his family in West Virginia.

He loved the Lord and devoted much of his time to teaching and spreading the Gospel to all that would listen. His ministry was to the sick. And often, when he would visit friends, he would also ask others in the hospital if they would like to read the Bible and pray. He attended and graduated from seminary school.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Jay), age 86, who passed away on April 23, 2025 in Sebring, Florida.

Jay had one sibling, Beverly (and Ted), both deceased.

She was a devoted and loving wife, sister, mother, aunt and friend to many.

She enjoyed cooking and baking the best Iowa brownies. She loved being a mother to Wendy Joy and surrogate daughter, Lisa Marie Criss.

They loved to travel and visited all 50 states over their 61 years of marriage.

They were long time residents of Walton Hills, Ohio and finally settled at their winter home in Sebring, Florida.

"Do not cry for us. Our souls have been set free. We are together forever in life and death."

The family will receive friends 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Busch-Romito Funeral Home, 521 Broadway Avenue, Bedford, Ohio (440) 232-1441 where funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM. The service will include both Paul and Janet. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Twinsburg.
