Swamp Rat was a retired truck driver for Gorman Trucking and a member of the Grapevine Old Regular Baptist Church.
Paul "Swamp Rat" Smith leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: wife, Carolyn Smith of Hazard; sons, Ronald Smith of Hazard, Donald Smith of Hazard, and John Mitchell Smith of Frankfort; sisters, Barbara Hesson and Terry Smith of Knott County; grandchildren, Hayden Smith of Hazard and Ellie Smith of Frankfort; special niece, McKenna Fugate; special friend, Grace White; also a host of other relatives & friends survive.
Visitation for Paul "Swamp Rat" Smith will be held on Saturday - December 13, 2025 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday - December 13, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with A.J.Miller officiating. The Interment will follow in the Mclntosh Cemetery located at Grapevine, Kentucky.
