Paul N. Snyder, Jr.
Age 70, of East Canton, went home to be with the Lord on Wed., Feb. 12, 2025, following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born Oct. 5, 1954, in Canton, a son of the late Paul and Lela (Fimple) Snyder, Sr. Paul was a 1973 graduate of Minerva High School and was retired from the Timken Co. as a furnace operator. He was a member of Dover New Life Church of God.
Paul was easily recognized most by his trademark black cowboy hat wherever he went. He rarely traveled anywhere without his companion pups Frannie and Tiffie in the truck. Anyone who knew him knew his family was his life. His absence will be felt by them daily.
Survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia Snyder; two daughters, Tracy (Brett) Hughes, and Angela (Derek) Ott; one sister, Nancy Rohrer; one brother, Gary Snyder; and seven grandchildren, Abbie (Matthew) Blanton, Nicholas (Alex) Hughes, Liam (Julie) Ott, Arianna (Logan) Miller, Meghan (Nick) Heidengren, Andrew Hughes, and Asher Hughes.
Services will be held Mon. at 1pm in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with his son-in-law, Pastor Brett Hughes, and Pastor Larry Gross officiating. Interment in Liberty Church Cemetery. Friends may call two hours before the service, from 11am to 1pm, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paul's memory may be made to the Dover New Life Church of God, 115 South Ave., Dover, OH 44622. Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
