We deeply mourn the loss of Paul Thomas Staupe, 68, devoted husband and father, who passed away on September 24th, 2023 at his home in Minnetrista, Minnesota.
Paul was born in Virginia, Minnesota on May 6, 1955 to Gilbert Malcolm Staupe and Mary Louise Grant-Staupe. He earned his BA at St. John's University and MBA at the University of St. Thomas, Paul worked at various positions throughout his life in information technology, telecommunications, and wireline/wireless sales engineering, and was greatly admired as a coworker for his personable demeanor, good humor, sales acumen, and sincere collegiality. Deeply devoted to his Catholic faith, Paul regularly attended Mass and was never far from his collection of spiritual books. His hobbies included becoming an award-winning Ham Radio operator (using the now-retired call sign WØAD), relaxing on vacation in Florida with his wife Linda, taking care of his two beautiful dogs Hans and Nikki (and also the late Joey Bishop). He also loved attending concerts, theater, and ballet shows performed by his children through the years and being a lifelong fan of his beloved Johnnies Football team. Paul was really looking forward to spending time in our new home in Minnetrista and meeting all the wonderful neighbors.
He is survived by loving wife Linda, children: Vincent, Andrew (Mary), Veronica (Andrew), Francesca, and Dominique (Michael). Paul is also survived by sisters Susan (Steven) and Ann (Thomas), and his stepchildren Patrick (Jennie), Benjamin, Maureen (Stuart) and Michael (Gina) and three step-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass is Friday October 6, 2023 at 11:00AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 13505 Excelsior Blvd, Minnetonka, MN 55345. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at 10:00AM.
