Paul Wilfred Stegemann, 72, of Folk, died peacefully at his home on Monday, September 16, 2024.

He was born February 11, 1952, in Jefferson City, the son of Wilfred August and Gertrude Wilhelmina (Luecke) Stegemann.

Paul graduated from Fatima High School in 1970. He also attended the University of Missouri at Rolla.

He went to work at Coy’s Moving and Storage for many years. Paul finally went to work for the Missouri Highway Department in Jefferson City for many years, where he retired.

Paul's favorite pastime was bowling which in the height of his time, he could do 2 to 3 days a week. He achieved the ultimate goal in bowling, receiving a perfect score of 300. Paul lived his entire life in the Folk community. 

Paul was preceded in death by both of his parents, Wilfred and Gertrude Stegemann.

He is survived by four siblings, Judy (Ed) Schulte, Folk; Richard Stegemann, Wardsville; Gloria Stegemann, Westphalia; and Marsha Stegemann, Folk. He is also survived by one niece, Donna (Dave) Imhoff; two nephews, Daniel Schulte and Kevin Schulte; a great niece, Tabitha Imhoff; and a great nephew, Josiah (Emily) Imhoff.

Visitation will be 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2024, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Folk. A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Dylan Schrader, PhD, officiating.

Burial will be in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to St. Anthony of Padua Church, Folk.
