Paul Allen Taylor

1968 - 2025

Paul Allen Taylor, age 57, from Fredericksburg, Texas, passed away at home on February 26, 2025. He was born on February 6, 1968 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, to parents Martha and Jerry Taylor.

Paul was very proud to serve as a firefighter for The Woodlands Fire Department for almost 20 years. He loved travel, especially going on over 20 mission trips to Peru, Nicaragua, Honduras and Namibia. Paul was an avid fisherman, and loved to camp. He showed his artistry through woodworking and carpentry, and was well known for his compassion for people wherever he went. He loved to stop and speak to everyone he encountered, with a word of encouragement or often a prayer. He was a mentor for several years with Fredericksburg ISD. Paul was a deacon and Bible class teacher at Church of Christ, launched the livestream of church services and was the "tech guy" that everyone went to for help. He loved being both on stage in shows such as Fiddler on the Roof, Hello Dolly, Guys and Dolls, to name a few, and behind stage as stage manager, crew and working the light boards at Fredericksburg Theater Co. Friends made there became family to him.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Blume Taylor; his parents, Martha and Jerry Taylor; his sister, Kami Mead and her husband Patrick Mead, and two children, Alexandra and Zachary, from a previous marriage.

His memorial service will be held on March 15, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the Fredericksburg Church of Christ, 507 N. Llano St., Fredericksburg, TX.
