Paul Tefteller Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory - Midland on Nov. 20, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Paul Bryan Tefteller, age 55, of Midland, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on November 18, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. Paul was born on November 9, 1970, in Midland, where he spent most of his life rooted in the community he loved.

Paul graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1989 and went on to earn his Aviation Technology degree from Midland College, flight school in Addison TX at Aviator Flight School and Eagle Vista in Florida for agricultural aviation training.

A gifted aviator, he held several airplane ratings like private pilot, multi engine instrument commercial, VFR, Tailwheel and Learjet accumulating over 5,000 hours of flight time. Over the years he flew for Kalitta Charters (Kitty Hawk Charters) in Tennessee for freight, Air Ambulance, and Charters serving throughout the USA, Mexico and Canada; American Patrols pipeline in Midland, and spent time crop-dusting in East Texas before building a successful residential/commercial rental business and a partnership with Versa Enterprises LLC.

On April 7, 2001, Paul married the love of his life, Lindy, and together they built a beautiful family. He was a devoted husband and an incredibly proud father to their two children, Conner and Emma, who were the absolute center of his world.

Paul lived life with passion and curiosity. He loved racing, flying, music, and movies, and he approached every interest with enthusiasm. His sense of adventure, his quick wit, and his unwavering love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him.

Paul's faith and devotion grew steadily throughout his life, but especially over the past six years. His early spiritual foundation began at Midland Christian, continued to deepen during his teenage years at First Presbyterian Church, and remained a steady source of strength and hope for him.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Farrest and Carolyn Tefteller, and his uncle, Gary Collier and Aunt Jefflyn Roberts.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lindy; his son, Conner; and his daughter, Emma, all of Midland, Texas. He is also survived by his sister, Teresa Ellis, and her husband, Lonnie, of Lubbock, Texas; his brother, Ron Tefteller, and his wife, Neena, of San Antonio, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Midland, MD Anderson in Houston, and the compassionate nurses at Texas Oncology for their dedicated care and support as well as Jimmy Dale and Renea Marrow of the Woodlands for always having open arms for us on our trips to Houston. You made the unbearable bearable.

The funeral service will be held graveside at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland, Texas, Tuesday November 25, 2025 at 1:00pm. Eric Sadler of Hospice of Midland will officiate services. Visitation will be at Nalley Pickle Funeral Home on Monday November 24, 2025, between 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please keep your money. Lindy is allergic to flowers but instead Paul wants you to invite that loved one you haven't spoken to in a long while to dinner, mend fences, love fiercely and praise Jesus in all you do. In addition, sponsor someone for Angel Tree or Christmas in Action in remembrance of Paul.

Paul leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and devotion. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives were brightened by his presence.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences may be made at www.npwelch.com.
