Paul survived by his wife: Berline Francis Verret; two sons: Nollie (Tina) Verrett, and Billy Verret; three daughters: Mattie Verret, Betty (Timothy) Picou, and Bobbie (Tommy) Scott; 22 Grandchildren: Nollie Verrett, Jr., Delvin Verrett, Paul Verrett, Tony Verrett, Annette Verrett, Melvin Verrett, Matthew (Kirsten) Verrett, Shawn Verrett, Kobie Verrett, Jared Verrett, Reyli Verrett, Hayden-Jaymes Verrett, Calvin Verdin, Jr., Celina Verdin, Cornelius Verdin, Alexis Verret, Justin Picou, Courtney Picou, Andi Picou, Sullivan Picou, Elizabeth Picou, and Hermione Scott; Step-grandchild: Tracy (Leslie) Benoit; 23 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Rudolph John and Josephine Verret; paternal grandparents: Ellis and Helena Billiot Verret; maternal grandparents: Teles and Ernestine Verdin Verret; three brothers: Antoine, Albert and Clarence (Monica) Verret; seven sisters: Baby Verret, Rosemary Verret, Dorothy Lee (Edison) Rouse, Doris (Raymond) Landry, Antoinette (Clarence) Billiot, Doretha Eva (Ronald) Broussard, and Edna (Roy) Billiot; and one daughter: Mollie (Calvin Sr.) Verdin
He was a commercial oyster fisherman and worked for several oyster companies in Terrebonne and Lafourche Parish.l He was a member of the United Houma Nation.
