Paul Clinton Welch, 77, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away on March 22, 2024 in Port St. Lucie, FL with his wife and children at his side. 

He was born February 21, 1947 in Washington, DC. Paul was the proud owner and operator of Paul Welch, INC an engineering company in Saint Lucie County, for over 40 years. He was known as a kind-hearted, and loving man who always extended a helping hand to others and embraced life with joyful enthusiasm and loved to share his favorite places with them. 

Paul Welch graduated from Austin High School in Austin, TX, he then went on to graduate from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX with a bachelor’s degree in engineering.

His expertise in the field earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike. 

He loved football, going to the islands, being near the water, fishing on his boat, skiing at Heavenly in Lake Tahoe, riding his Harley Trike, and he thoroughly enjoyed time with his family and friends. One of his favorite quotes was: “The More, The Merrier.”

He is survived by his devoted wife, Pamela Shaffer-Welch; his daughter, Jacqueline N. Welch; son, Paul C. Welch Jr and his wife, Nydia – all of Port St. Lucie, FL; his step-daughter, Heather L. Pitts of Nevada City, CA; step-son, Cody H Pitts of Ft. Pierce, FL; sister, Laura and her husband Brian Zweber of El Paso, TX.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul W. Welch, his mother, Lillie Belle Barr, and his brother, Robert S. Welch. Paul will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life in honor of Paul Clinton Welch will be held at Haisley Funeral Home 3015 Okeechobee Rd Ft. Pierce, FL on April 21, 2024. The gathering will begin at 2:00PM and a service beginning at 3:00PM; where family and friends will come together to celebrate the extraordinary life of a man that touched the hearts of many.

In remembrance of Paul, one of his favorite foods will be served directly following the service at the Haisley Reception Hall.
