He is preceded in death by his father William Frank Welch; sister, Doris Welch.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Cindy Welch; sons, Chad Welch (Renee), Jay Welch (Beth); grandchildren, Emilie, Hanah, Zachary, Evan; mother Margaret Chapman Welch and sister, Robin Johnson (Steve).
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Gaston Memorial Park in the Mausoleum of Peace on August 29, 2025.
Steve's funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on August 29, 2025, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Gaston Memorial Park with Rev. Jeff Silver officiating.
Entombment will follow the service.
