Paula Diane Smith Carr, 68, of Staunton, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
She was born on May 18, 1956 in Hopewell to the late Hubert Leach and Pauline "Polly" Jesse Whitmire Smith.
She is survived by her son, Matthew Scott Carr and her grandchildren, Camon Carr and Willow Carr. She also leaves behind several longtime friends, Amy Simmons, Elaine Kennedy, Hope Keyser, Gay Gladwell and more.
She was an animal lover, loved the outdoors and playing guitar. Paula was a dog groomer for twenty years.
There will be no services, as she requested.
In lieu of flowers, she asks that you make a donation to the Augusta Regional SPCA (P.O. Box 2014, Staunton, VA 24402) or to the Virginia Chapter of the American Cancer Society (4405 Cox Road, Suite 110, Glen Allen, VA 23060).
