Paula was born on March 31, 1953, in Independence, Missouri to Floyd Oscar and Mary “Teddy” (Libbus) Carrender. In 1971, she graduated from Lexington High School. After working for 25 years in personnel she retired from the IRS. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Along with spending time with family and friends, Paula had a passion for adventure. Whether it was spinning the slots at the casino or traveling the world with her loved ones, she embraced life with a joyful heart. Las Vegas always held a special place in her adventures, where laughter and excitement brought her the most cherished memories. In her down time when she wasn’t at the casino, she enjoyed the quiet time of crocheting.
Paula is survived by one brother, Kent (Vicki) Carrender of Marshall, MO.
Along with both her parents, Paula was preceded in death by a sister, Sister Beth Carrender; and one brother, Charles “Chuck” Frank Carrender.
