FRANKE, Paula Renee (nee Burdette), passed away surrounded by the love of her family on August 4, 2025 at the age of 62. She was born in Fort Thomas, KY, the daughter of the late Joseph Burdette and Janice (nee Ruppee) Marcum.
She is survived by her loving sons Thomas Jr. and David Franke. Beloved grandmother of Adalynn. Dear sister of Pam (Jim) Sumpter, Joseph (Amy) Burdette, Timothy (Tyra) Burdette, Thomas Burdette, Trisha (Bryan) Shepherd, and Jillian (Jesse Wood) Marcum. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Paula was preceded in death by her dear son Nicholas and her sweet nephew Grayson.
She attended Montana Avenue Church of the Nazarene where she began her journey of faith and love in Christ.
For the last 19 years Paula has been a diamond award winning employee of The Home Depot where she made more friends than there are numbers to count with.
When she wasn't at work you could possibly find her screaming at the TV (in a good way) while watching her favorite team, the bengals.
Her fanhood didn't stop at football though. Her favorite athlete to root for was her granddaughter Ady. Paula was always able to discover and share the best candy while also singing, humming, or dancing to her favorite big hair 80's music. Listening to Journey on a car ride with Paula was always a good time but she would tell you that live music is the way to go.
She was most certainly familiar with wanderlust as Paula loved to travel and in particular wanted her toes in the sand at the most sun soaked beach she could find.
Paula was a wizard when it came to a needle, thread, and hot glue. The number of amazing costumes and comfy pajamas she whipped up on a whim was staggering. She always had the most vibrant and colorful front door wreaths for every season and holliday.
Colorful and Vibrant are words that will forever be tied to Paula, she was a beauty queen through and through. She loved to do her nails and hair while finding a way to glitter and bedazzle her phone, purse and her entire life. Paula was the brightest light in any room she walked into, her electric energy and joyous laughter were infectious to all those around her.
Some of Paula's fondest memories are those of family gatherings where they were lucky enough to have Paula bring her famous whiskey slush and also give them a cute new nickname.
She had a never ending supply of pride in her family and friends. Paula was the biggest and best cheerleader for her loved ones no matter what their interests were and she always found the time to show up in support at every event.
To know Paula was to know the absolute finest mamaw, mother, aunt and friend to exist. She displayed infinite and unconditional love without judgement. Whether you were blood or chosen family, family was the most important thing to Paula and the thing she loved the most.
