Paula-Jean K. Stumph

Paula-Jean K. Stumph (nee Chrenka), age 82, of Twinsburg, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025 after a brief illness.

Paula is the beloved mother of Herbert (Betsy) Stumph III, Christopher Stumph and Erik (Catlain) Stumph; cherished grandmother of Herbie IV, William, Riley and Allie; loving sister of Dr. Blair (Pat) Chrenka, Rosalyn Chrenka, Ph.D, and Paul (Martha Ballard) Chrenka III; dear aunt and great aunt of many.

Born July 6, 1943 in Little Italy to the late Dr. Paul and Jean Chrenka (nee Galati). She moved to Shaker in elementary school--attended Moreland Elementary School, Woodbury Junior High, and Shaker Heights High School. Attended Western Reserve/Flora Stone Mather College graduating in 3.5 years, then continued on to earn her Masters degree from John Carroll.

Upon graduation she taught Elementary School French in Shaker Schools for 10 years. Married Herbert Stumph, Jr. in 1974 and moved to Twinsburg, where they raised their three sons. Joined Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and for 45 years she has served the Lord in many roles supporting all types of church activities. As her sons grew, she began her second teaching career at the Our Redeemer Preschool, first as a teacher and later as Director of the school. In the latter part of her 50 years in Twinsburg, Paula enjoyed traveling and cherishing time in the company of family and all of her friend groups--Church Friends, Senior Center Friends, Trivia Teammates, Hyde Park Neighbors, Band Moms, and July Birthdays/Calendar Girls.

The family will receive friends 9-11AM SATURDAY, AUGUST 23, 2025 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7196 SOM Center Rd., Solon, OH 44139 where funeral services for Paula will begin at 11:00AM.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Paula's name to the church.
