Paula was born on June 22, 1957, in Barnesville, Ohio, to the late Edmond and Charlotte (Haslam) Friesel. She married the love of her life, Wayne Kasserman, on August 4, 1980, in Rittman. They remained life partners until Wayne's passing on January 14, 2024.
Paula dedicated much of her life to caring for others as a nursing assistant. She had a servant's heart and found great joy in volunteering and helping those in need. Her faith in God was a cornerstone of her life.
In her free time, Paula loved crocheting and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Her warmth, generosity, and fiery spirit will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Jody Zehetner (Matthew Tennant) of Rittman; and three cherished grandchildren, Jakub Zehetner, Madelynne Zehetner, and Liam Tennant, all of Rittman.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Joy, Randy, Mark, Dean, and Paul.
Per Paula's wishes, there will be no formal services, and cremation will take place.
