BOYLSTON-Paula M. (Ostaszewski) Marengo, 77, passed away Monday, January 15 in the Rose Monahan Hospice House.
She leaves her husband of 57 years, Raymond A. Marengo, two children, James Marengo and his wife, Leigh of Boylston and Michelle Marengo of Worcester; a brother, Stanley J. Ostaszeski and his wife, Linda of Epping, NH; a sister, Lynn Ann Ostaszewski of Boylston and nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Stanley J. and Jeanne L. (Provencher) Ostaszewski. Paula graduated from Worcester schools and went to work for Morgan Construction as a secretary and switchboard operator, where she met the love of her life, Ray. They settled down in Ray’s hometown of Boylston and happily raised their family.
She was a member and catechism teacher of St. Mary of the Hills Church, loved quilting and enjoyed time spent in Hyannis in the summers, especially at the beach. Paula was the happiest at any gathering of family and friends. She was a wonderful mother and fantastic wife and will be deeply missed.
Visiting Hours are Sunday, January 21 from 2 to 4pm at Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. A Funeral Mass will be Monday, January 22 at 10am in St. Mary of the Hills Church, 630 Cross St. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VNA Care Network at vnacare.org/patients/rose-monahan-hospice-home.
