Leicester - Jean A. (Armstrong) Marengo, 83, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. She was born in Worcester and raised in Boylston, the daughter of the late Joseph and Christine (Stewart) Armstrong.
Jean graduated from Monteverde Academy in Monteverde, FL and went on to attend Salter Secretarial School. She worked for several years at McEvoy Travel before transitioning to payroll at Manpower group before retiring in 1992. Jean married the love of her life, the late John Marengo in 1965. The couple lived in West Boylston before moving to their forever home in Cherry Valley in 1968. Jean had a lifelong love for animals and will be dearly missed by her beloved cats. Above all she cherished spending time with her family and will be dearly missed.
Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Marengo in 2023. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her sons, Joseph Marengo of Cherry Valley and John Marengo and his wife, Toni of Hubbardston; her daughter, Jennifer Keevan and her husband, Scott of Rutland; her sister, Gail Mackenzie and her husband, Donald of Eddington, ME; her beloved grandchildren, Sam Keevan and Liv Marengo; several nieces and nephews and their children; and her sister-in-law, Carol Fisher of Worcester.
Funeral services will be private and under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, MA 01606 or to Canines for Disabled Kids, 65 James St #210, Worcester, MA 01603

So sorry for your loss, Joe, John and Jennifer. Jean was caring and friendly with everyone she met. I will miss having conversations with her at 4th of July cookouts, and other family events.
