Mrs. Paula Joann Potts, 56, of Newnan, GA passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at home. She was born February 3, 1968, in Atlanta, GA to James P Lewis (deceased) and Dorothy Allene Lewis.
Paula grew up in Peachtree City, GA, and was a graduate of McIntosh High School. She met her husband, Robert Potts, and was married on November 12, 1994. Her travels took her to Ypsilanti, MI, and Irving, TX, before they moved into their home in Newnan, GA, in December 1999. Paula loved working at the Hallmark store and The Disney Store. Her son Ryan was born on March 9, 2001, and became her focus. She continued spending time with Ryan and was always helping at his schools.
She is survived by her Husband Robert Potts, Ryan Scott Potts, Mother Allene Scoma, brother Jamie (Raine) Lewis, Mother-in-Law Joanne Potts, brother-in-law Michael (Patty) Potts, Thomas Potts, and Jeff (Lindsay) Potts, Nieces Kelsey, Morgan, Grace, and Sawyer, and Nephews Noah and Greyson.
Paula will be cremated. A visitation will be held November 15, 2024, from 2-4 pm at McKoon Funeral Home and Crematory, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan, GA. A memorial service will follow at 4 pm. Rather than flowers, the family asks donations to be made to St Jude's Hospital.
