Paula S. Monroe, 85

Paula S. Monroe, 85 of Mansfield, formerly of Ashland passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 in her home following a brief illness.

She was born on March 21, 1940 in Ashland the daughter of the late Harry James Crossen and the late Evelyn (nee Piper) and Donald Keener.

Paula graduated from Savannah High School, Class of 1958.

She retired after many years from OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital where she was a PSA in 2018.

Paula was a longtime member of the Maple Grove Church of the Brethren. Throughout her life, she has enjoyed crocheting and shopping, but most of all

spending time coloring and enjoying time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Chad (Brandy) Monroe of Mansfield, two grandchildren, C.J. and Raelynn Monroe, both of Mansfield; one sister, Della Fisher of Ashland; one brother, Tom Keener of Ashland; and numerous extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Paula is preceded in death by her still born daughter, Holly Zook; a sister-in-law, Barbara Keener; her siblings, Connie Trask, Bonnie Keener, and Roger Keener; a niece, Charity Fisher Hlovac; and a nephew, Keith Trask.

An interment service will be held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Nankin Cemetery. Refreshments will be served. In keeping with her wishes, guests are encouraged to dress casually.
