Paula graduated from Central High School and went on to receive her bachelor's degree from SMS. On October 18, 1974, she married Joe Schatz, and this union was blessed with two children, Chrissy and Chad. Paula worked as a Special Education Teacher at the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch for many years. She also enjoyed going hunting and fishing. She was quite the jokester, and she enjoyed taking trips to the casino. In recent years, as her health declined, she enjoyed watching TV and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Patsy, who were from Ava, MO.
Paula is survived by her loving husband Joe, daughter Chrissy Bos, and husband Chris, son Chad Schatz, grandchildren Zach and Justin Bos, sister Verna Sue Dingeldein, and nephew Jason (Sarah) Dingeldein, as well as other extended family and friends.
Paula's family has requested memorial donations be made in Paula's memory to The National Kidney Foundation (9218 Metcalf Ave #424 Overland Park, KS 66212).
A Visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 26, 2025, from 5 – 7 p.m. at Meadors Funeral Home in Billings. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Meadors Funeral Home in Billings. Paula will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
