Paula Garcia Torres, 93, of Big Spring, Texas died Saturday, January 4, 2025. Visitation at Myers & Smith Funeral Home will be Tuesday, January 7th from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with the funeral service at 6:00 PM.
Paula was born in Mexico on January 15, 1931 to Dario Torres and Marcela Garcia. She was one of 16 children.
Paula was known for her warmth, endless love, and exceptional cooking. She was a gifted storyteller, always ready with a smile and a kind word, and had a special talent for everyone to feel welcome. Paula enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time with her family. She always wanted everyone to be blessed and happy. Paula was a devout Christian, lived her life with unwavering faith and grace. She was a member of Iglesia Evangelica Cristiana Espiritual church in Big Spring. She was a pillar of our family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by Eva Martinez Torres, Tomasa Martinez Torres, Carmela Cano Martinez, Maria del Carmen Loya Martinez, Gabriel Martinez Torres, Rosa Martinez Torres,Maria Cristina Martinez Torres, Filiberto Martinez Torres, Francisco Martinez Torres, Angelica Campos Martinez, Jose Luis Martinez Torres, Madelaine Zarala, Mark Arrendondo, and Josue Campos. Paula was preceded in death by Silvia Ortiz Martinez, Ilario Martinez Torres, and Marcela Martinez.
