Paula Janelle Williamson, 85, of Roby, Texas passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Roby with burial to follow in Roby Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home. There will be a time of visitation prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm at the church.
Paula was born in Farmersville, Texas, on August 10, 1939, to the late Jessie and Marie White. She married William Freddy Williamson on June 28, 1957, in a small country church outside of Farmersville, Tx. Once married, they made their home in Roby, Texas and raised their children there, while making a living as hard working cotton farmers and enjoyed country life and all it had to offer.
Paula loved working with arts and crafts, being outside, fishing, and most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren that were so very special to her. She was a beautiful Christian lady and was an active member of The First Baptist church, working with children, for much of the 65 years during her time there. Paula’s sweet smile and the Christian example she set, will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Freddy Williamson; and her brother, Johnny White.
Paula is survived by her children Linda Smith, Connie (Danny) Ragan, Buddy Williamson, and four grandchildren, Heather (Cory) Kohlenberg, J.C. (Angela) Watts, Spencer Smith and Dexter (Chrissy) Ragan; nine great grandchildren; and three sisters, Martha Lou Conard, Mollie Ruth Benge and Jackie Davis.
