Paulette Elizabeth Heigh came into this world on June 15, 1954 to William "Bill" and Ruth Pelley in Sioux Falls. Paulette graduated from Washington High School. She started her first job serving customers at the Colonial House. This love for the food service industry would continue for many years and upcoming jobs.
Taking a job at a local laundromat would change her life for the better as this is where she would meet her future husband, Scott Heigh. They would be married on September 24, 1977 in Sioux Falls. In January of 1980, the couple would welcome their son, Adam, into their lives. The three of them moved to Philip, South Dakota where Paulette started working at the local nursing home as a cook. There, the residents were treated to Paulette's baking of amazing treats and desserts. Anyone that met Paulette would remember her food and her lighthearted personality. In the 90's Paulette started working as a cook at the Cathedral for the Catholic School System. For many years she would come to love her job serving children and teachers with all of them served with love and a giant smile.
Paulette would become a grandma on the morning of January 6th, 2011 as Mason Robert William Heigh came into her life. She loved spending time teaching, and showing, Mason her love of baking and Mason loved Grandma and her special chocolate cake.
Paulette was an avid reader and a favorite thing for her was to sit on her back deck reading with an iced tea nearby. She had a special connection to dogs and there was always at least one dog in the family's home. Paulette fell in love with Stamping and her friend base grew with the ladies from the stamp club. She enjoyed spending time watching movies and having supper on Saturdays with her niece, Beth and nephew, Mike. Throughout her years Paulette has always been there to watch her son, grandson, niece and nephews many ventures. Encouraging and cheering them on from whenever she could.
