Pauline Baryenbruch, 101, of Kissimmee, FL. Passed away June 26, 2023 surrounded by her friends and The Club of Haines City.
She was born on September 6, 1921 in Linden, Wisconsin to the late Gaza Louise Wicks and John Stephen Holman. She graduated from Linden High School in 1939 and then attended the University of Wisconsin, followed by a secretarial school.
She married the late Roland Baryenbruch on August 26, 1946 in Baraboo, Wisconsin. She worked while her WWII POW husband went to college at Platteville, graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Bacteriology. They moved to Louisville, Kentucky when Roland was hired by Seagram's. They had their first daughter, Jane Ann, born on April 2, 1951. They moved back to Dodgeville, Wisconsin so Pauline could care for her mother due to ill health. They started to spend the winter months in Bradenton, Florida both working at the Ringling Hotel in Sarasota. Patricia was born on March 7, 1955 in Bradenton. In 1954, they moved to Wisconsin Dells to manage the Blackhawk Hotel, eventually buying it and changing the name to River Inn. The next 25 years "the Duo" would develop many businesses in Wisconsin Dells: Christmas Mountain, Top Hat Drive-In, Top Hat Motel & Liquor Store, Terrace Grill, Aquaducks, Pottery Shop at Fort Dells, and River Inn Motel with June and Bill Goddard. After Roland's passing in 1981, she moved permanently to Kissimmee, Fl. She enjoyed her retirement years playing golf, bridge, working in her garden, karaoke, volunteering at Boggy Creek Elementary, planning the next party with her many friends, and watching her sports teams the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, and the Orlando Magic. People were drawn to her infectious personality and fun spirit.
Pauline is survived by daughters Jane (Ron) Youngs of Kissimmee, FL and Patti (Mark) Ramer of Brentwood, TN. Grandchildren: Christopher (Elizabeth) Youngs of Leesburg, VA, Lyndsay (Joe) Hays of Minneola, FL, Mia (AJ) Tomeny of Brentwood, TN, Eva (Zach) Hughes of Mobile, AL and Kurt Ramer of Covington, KY. Great-Grandchildren: Brayden, Madison, Ethan Youngs and Ivy Tomeny. She is further survived by special niece Mary Larson, Rita Scallon, Rose Porter, Shirley Baryenbruch, Jerry and Marylou Baryenbruch, Mick and Rhonda Baryenbruch, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Elmo, sister June (Bill) Goddard, special nephew Jack (Marlene) Goddard, husband-Roland, Arthur and Valeria Baryenbruch, Ken and Monie Stephens, Jack and Maryann Baryenbruch, Dennis Scallon, Arthur Baryenbruch, and Ruth Stoddard.
