She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Earl Hair; her parents, Floyd and Mary Bell Self; her son, David Hair Sr.; grandson, David Hair Jr.; brother, Cecil Self; and sister, Edna Mae Ware.
Pauline owned her own business. She was a Girl Scout Leader for seven years, was an avid crafter of all genres and a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs.
She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Paulette Smith of Rocky Face, and Kim and Michael Poole of Tybee Island; daughter-in-law, Linda Hair of Dalton; sisters, Barbara Massey, Doris Chastain, and Linda Favors; grandchildren, Bethany Poole (Matthew Gamble), Bryan Bass, Leigh Anne Bass (Paul Vogler), Geoff Bass, Doug Hair, Patty Pellom, and Tommy Neil (Trina Neil); twelve great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 4:00 PM with Rev. Mike Mahoney officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery.
