Pauline Kay Lindeman was born March 7th 1945 in Northwood ND to Isadora Lindeman. She went to live with her grandparents Adolph and Florence Lindeman in Hope ND where she attended school and helped Grandpa on the farm. She became his righthand gal as she grew older and always a hard worker. She had a love for music and even though she never learned to read notes she had a gift of playing her trumpet and bass guitar by ear. She often would laugh and state that she placed sheets of jokes in front of her instead of sheet music "Because some places expected it." After graduation she moved to Fargo ND where she became a security guard and played in several bands.

She moved to Port Aransas TX and enjoyed the beach, fishing and her job as a manager for an apartment complex. It was here that she met her husband, Paul Lee Chance. She told us that they got caught out on the ocean while deep sea fishing. The ocean had become extremely rough during a storm and since they lived through it they decided to get married. They were married on the beach in a small private ceremony. They separated years later but continued to be friends until his passing. Pauline moved briefly to Sarasota FL then Georgia where her brother David joined her. When it became too expensive they relocated to Florida until David married then they moved to Fairview Mt to be closer to the rest of the family. She quickly grew to hate the winters and moved back to Sarasota Florida soon after her brother David's passing. She remained in Sarasota until she passed away Christmas Morning at the Sarasota Hospice House.

She had a love for music, her dogs (which were her babies always) and she sheltered in place through many a hurricane because she refused to leave them. She had an infectious laugh and smile. She hated when she had to give up playing the trumpet when she got her " new teeth." She made friends wherever she decided her new home was and will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Lee Chance, Brother Kurt Carlson, Mother Isadora Carlson, brother David Carlson, other parents Florence and Adolph Lindeman, Aunts/sisters Ardys Doyle Triplett and Joan Lemly Boeder. Surviving her are her brothers Lyle (Sharon) Fairview Mt, Mark (Norma) Fairview Mt and numerous cousins. We appreciate all of her special friends at her Casa Santa Marta apartment complex and they're watching over her physically and spiritually through the years. You are our extended family.

Per Pauline's request, cremation will take place and she will be buried with her husband Lee Chance in Sarasota Florida.
