It is with great sadness that the family of Pauline "Shashie" Nuccio announces her passing on January 30, 2025, at the age of 91. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Pauline was born on November 27, 1933, and spent her life creating a legacy of love, kindness, and warmth. She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, always putting her family first.
Pauline "Shashie" Nuccio was preceded in death by her late husband, Nicholas D. Nuccio; her son, Steven R. Nuccio (Ida "Rere" Gambino); her sisters, Neva and Sue Robles; and son-in-law, Anthony Fassbender. She is survived by her brother, Gilbert Robles; daughter, Brenda Sue Robles; son, Robert McGill; daughter, Nicolette Nuccio Fassbender; son, Nicholas G. Nuccio, and his wife, Patti. Pauline's love extended to her numerous granddaughters, including Mandi Champagne, Ashley Champagne, Brooke Nuccio, Madison Nuccio, Gabbie Nuccio, Monique McGill, Alina Vallejo, Sherrie Zatarain, and several grandsons, including Matthew Nuccio, Robert McGill, Roman McGill, Mario McGill, Isahia McGill, Kenny McGill, James McGill, and Anthony Miranda. She was also the proud great-grandmother of several great-grandchildren, including Mason Bozant and Jaden Naquin.
A woman of many talents, Pauline began her career as an operator at South Central Bell, where she demonstrated dedication and professionalism. In the 1980s, Pauline's passion for cooking and baking was evident in her role at the family-owned restaurant, Quick Nicks. She was known for bringing joy to all who visited for the famous seafood Nick-uletta and her bright smile. She was also an incredibly talented seamstress, creating beautiful works of art that will forever remind her loved ones of her care and dedication.
Above all, Pauline will never be forgotten. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her kind heart, and her unwavering love for her family. Pauline "Shashie" Nuccio's legacy of love, joy, and family will continue to inspire and bring comfort to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to be touched by her life.
