It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Paxton Michael Plum, who departed this world on June 3, 2025, at the age of 32. He was born on March 27, 1993, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and passed away in Pittsboro, North Carolina.
Paxton was a bright and talented individual, known for his dedication to both his studies and his varied interests. While attending Loy Norrix High School in Kalamazoo, he distinguished himself as an athlete by lettering in golf and football. His academic journey took him to the University of Michigan, where he further honed his athletic prowess on the rugby team. Paxton completed his degree at Western Michigan University, paving the way for a promising career.
He embarked on his professional path as a data analyst with Infosys, where he worked for three years. His keen interest in technology, particularly computers and artificial intelligence, was evident in his work and personal pursuits. Aside from his professional endeavors, Paxton had a passion for studying history and was captivated by the ancient art of flint knapping. Sports continued to be a significant part of his life, as did his curiosity and love for learning.
During his high school years, Paxton achieved recognition as a finalist in the National Achievement Program, highlighting his academic excellence and dedication.
Paxton is survived by his beloved grandparents, Carol and Patrick Pearson. He is survived by his cherished mother, Cynthia Plum of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and a circle of dear friends and extended family who will miss him greatly.
