Funeral services for Payton Eugene Pullen, 86, of Longview, Texas, will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 5, 2025, in the Chapel of McWhorter Funeral Home with Brother John Stone officiating. Interment to follow at New White Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm prior to the service. Payton was born on July 8, 1939, in Jasper, Texas to Wayne Gordon Pullen and Carrie Ella Havard Pullen and passed from this life on October 2, 2025, in Longview, Texas. Payton married Charlene Medlin on March 28, 1978, in Carthage, Texas. He worked as a station agent for ATSF Railway Company for 38 years before his retirement. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Charlene Pullen; sons, Randy Pullen, and Mike Pullen; daughter, Sandy Pullen; brother, Wayne Pullen; grandchildren, Paige Simmons, Reed Pullen, Chase Pullen, Jake Pullen, Kate Pullen, Leward LaFleur, Chris Gearhart, Jennifer Belcher, and Cody Stone; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruby Dell Herron; and his brother, Carlton Glenn Pullen. Pallbearers will be Ty Brannen, David Feckley, Don Foster, Kevin Pullen, Trey Mixon, and Danny Richardson.
