Pearl Marie Felty, age 88 of Columbus, went home to be with the Lord on December 4, 2025 surrounded by family, who loved and adored her. Pearl was born in Llanelli, Wales UK where she grew to be a beautiful young woman who was always surrounded by friends and admirers. She would walk to a small Theater in Wales and tell the story of actually meeting Roger Moore. Pearl immigrated to the US in 1962 and within the next decade, her parents and 3 siblings followed. Pearl lived in Newark, Ohio. She moved to Columbus, where she married her husband Ron, of 39 years. Pearl's career at Western Electric (Lucent Technologies) spanned until her retirement where she was valued and promoted many times as a loyal employee. Pearl enjoyed life and loved animals, especially her dogs Zara and Savannah to name a few. Her compassion for animals was so great that she was helping a stray neighborhood cat as she fought her own illness. Pearl listened to Christian music especially the Gaithers, attended church when she could, enjoyed shopping with her sister and loved to attend auctions with her son (where she was known to purchase trinkets for loved ones). Family meant so much to Pearl, who attended every single event. She was the definition of a lady. She wanted to remain in her own home, which her family honored, where she battled her illness with courage and dignity. She will be sadly missed.
Preceded in death by husband, Ron Felty; father, Frances Mathers; mother Gladys Mathers. Survived by loving son, Chris Felty; brother; John (Helen) Mathers; sister, Julie (Alan) Church; brother Steven (Theresa) Mathers; devoted friend, Dick Michelhaugh and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Following the graveside service there will be a gathering to celebrate Pearl's Life.
