Peggy Flaming Obituary

Peggy A. Flaming, 66, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Born April 10, 1959, in Elmhurst. IL the daughter of James and Margaret (Siegmund) Swearengen. Peggy married Brent W. Flaming on July 31, 2004 in Cancun, Mexico. She worked at the Winnebago Count Circuit Clerk Office and Jim Black Law Office. She was an inspiration to her family. She loved animals, especially her pets, boating on the river and time at the beach. She loved her family very much and was always positive.
Survived by her husband, Brent; children, Sarah Flaming of Denver, CO and Zachary Gorman of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Lively, Jett, and Aiden; siblings, Dan (Mary) Swearengen, Keith (Jan) Swearengen, Deb (Roger) Lincoln, and Mary Sue (Gary) Baker; father-in-law, Jerry Flaming; and brothers-in-law, Chad Flaming and Allen (Marie) Catic. Predeceased by her parents; mother-in-law, Carolyn Flaming.
Memorial visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., Rockford. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105. To share a memory of condolence, visit olsonfh.com.
