Peggy Lou Hager

Peggy Lou Hager, 78, of Earlysville, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2010, at her home.

Peggy was born on June 20, 1931, in Albemarle County, the daughter of the late Buey Shifflett and Minnie Shifflett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel E. Hager; a son, Lonnie Wayne Hager.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Morris and her husband, Larry, of Earlysville; a sister, Fannie Roach, also of Earlysville; four grandchildren, Rebecca Hager and Sam Marshall, both of Charlottesville, Steven Hager of Ruckersville, Teresa Hager of Albemarle County; a great-grandchild, Katelynn Hager of Earlysville; and many other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, at the Ryan Funeral Home with the Reverend C. C. Kurtz officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Brethren Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2010, at the Ryan Funeral Home.

Ryan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
