Peggy closed her eyes here on Earth and opened them in heaven Monday November 20,2023. She is in the presence of her Lord and Savior and reunited with many loved ones she longed to see. Her sincere prayer was that the family circle will be unbroken and will meet again in the peace and presence of The Lord and Savior.
She was the daughter of the late Sam & Frances (Randall) Jones of Athens TN. She had four children who she loved dearly and they loved her dearly. Ricky Lee Womac from Athens, TN, Penny Ann Veals (Bivens) & Scott Veals (son n law) of Decatur, TN, Chad Brown of Athens, TN, and the late Amy Dawn Womac (Veals) & Tracy Veals (son n law).
Grandchildren Damien Veals of Athens, TN, Casey Veals of Athens, TN and Casandra Couch (Veals) of Murfreesboro,TN, and Reece Veals of Decatur, TN, and Nadia Falls of Cleveland, TN. Sisters Faye Wilson of Athens, TN, and the late Nancy Carter (Jones) of Athens,TN and several Great grandchildren & nieces and nephews.
Family will be welcoming friends and family to join them in remembering the life of Peggy at Companion Funeral Home of Athens on Tuesday November 28, 2023 with visitation from 4pm to 7pm and service to follow with Rev. Jimmy Garrett presiding.
