Peggy Jean Kern, 70, wife of Samuel Lee Kern passed away peacefully on Sunday January 1, 2023.
Born September 11, 1952, in Paducah, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John Jefferson Chambers and Mary Ann Horton Chambers. Peggy enjoyed spending time at her home out in the country. She found peace in nature and tending to her garden. Peggy was a creative soul and enjoyed painting. She was also a gifted cook and baker. Serving others through food brought her joy. Peggy's heart was filled with love for God and her family.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Samuel Lee Kern of Woodruff; children, Seth (Kristen) Kern of Hernando, Mississippi and Samuel Justin Kern of Woodruff; grandchildren, Caroline Kern and Pierce Kern.
A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary with Reverend Carrol Caldwell officiating.
