Peggy Sue (Ivey) Proctor, age 60 passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
Peggy was born October 17, 1963 in Dayton, Ohio. She is survived by her parents George & Nancy Ivey, brothers George Glen Ivey, Ricky D. Ivey, Jacob D. Ivey, her three sons, Tim (Jennifer) Long, Norman, Jr. (Lisa) Long, and Truman Jones Jr., five grandchildren, Lucas Long, Alexander Long, Ian Palmer, Hunter Palmer, and Ariana Long. Peggy is also survived by her significant other Keith Gilbert, as well as special friends Anita (Joe) McKinney, Helen Harold and Jennifer Ringler.
Peggy also leaves behind a very special friend Truman Jones Sr., who has been there for her through thick and thin and has loved her unconditionally for 40 years.
Peggy loved going to yard sales, flea markets, and thrift shops. She loved bargain hunting and she loved her grandchildren. She had a very giving heart and was always willing to help others. Peggy spent most of her life in Ohio but she had a special place in her heart for Kentucky and it was always home to her.
Peggy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 6-7pm at the Pentecostals of Dayton, 168 Avondale Drive, Dayton, OH 45404. The service will follow at 7pm, with Rev. Tim Long & Pastor Wylie Rhinehart, Jr. officiating.
