Peggy Darlene Stewart, 55, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024. She was born in Dalton, Georgia, on December 20, 1969, to the late Kermit and Nellie Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her adoptive mother, Annie “Ann” Hendrix; brothers, Raymond, Newman, Danny, and Harley Long.
She is survived by her partner of 30 years, Sirilo Perez; adoptive father, Vernon Hendrix; sons, Matthew (Brittany) Stewart, Michael Stewart; brothers, Jackie (Edna) Long, Kenny Long; sisters, Edna Goforth, Tonya (Barry) Parker, Reginia (Jimmy) Gilbert; grandchildren, Ian Stewart, Owen Stewart.
Peggy served as a custodian with Calhoun City Schools for over twenty years.
To honor her wishes, her body was cremated, and no formal services were held.
The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Peggy Darlene Stewart.
