Peggy Sue Thomas, Newport, OH, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Born in Marietta, OH, on September 27, 1964, she was the daughter of Marilyn Sue Joy Harris and the late Richard L. Harris. She was a homemaker and a 1983 graduate of Frontier High School. Peggy was member of the Newport Volunteer Fire Department where she was a former secretary. She loved bowling and to play on her phone. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors other than her mother include, her husband of 36 years, Ferrin Thomas; three sons, Richard R. (Crystal) Thomas, Adam C. (Alysha Gerlaugh) Thomas, and Zachary D. (fiancé Maggie) Thomas; seven grandchildren, Zoey, Maddalyn, Candice, Gaige, Ayden, Brantley, and Gracelynn; one great-granddaughter, Nessa; mother-in-law, Marilyn Sue Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, one granddaughter, Sophia, and father-in-law, Donald Thomas.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 6, 2025 at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV with Pastor David Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in Newport Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
