Peggy Jane Vinson, 82, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 6:55 am, Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born on April 1, 1943, in Miami County, Indiana, to David "Shorty" and Florence Opal "Dot" (Spurgeon) Foust.
Peggy married Omer Dale Vinson, Sr. in Wabash on December 3, 1972; he died November 30, 2009. She was a homemaker, and also delivered newspapers for the Indianapolis Star, and the Wabash Plain Dealer. Peggy enjoyed spending time at the Dallas Winchester Senior Center in Wabash. She loved attending her kids and grandkids activities, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Omer D. (Jaime) Vinson, Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana, LeRoy (Heather) Vinson of Rotonda West, Florida, and Kenneth Vinson of Wabash, five grandchildren, Hunter Vinson, Rowan Vinson, Hailey Vinson, Lucas Vinson, and Haven Vinson, and two brothers, Paul Foust of Miami County, Indiana, Eldon Foust of Wabash, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, stepson, Mike Vinson, brothers Thomas Hiese Foust and William Charles Foust, and sister, Gladys Gardner.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Monday, July 14, 2025, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Dallas Winchester Senior Center.
