Peggy "Diane" Wood, 74, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in Southaven, MS. A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a celebration of life immediately following at 1:00 p.m., all at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven. Bro. Ken Sipley will officiate. Interment will be at Desoto Memorial Gardens. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of arrangements.
Lovingly known as Diane, she was a compassionate, beautiful, and caring soul whose life reflected her deep love for Jesus and others. Diane enjoyed singing, cooking wonderful meals, sewing, and creating art and crafts that brought joy to those around her. She had a gift for teaching and a heart for guiding others to Christ. Intelligent and thoughtful, she always put others before herself and lived each day with kindness and purpose.
Diane is survived by her husband, Scott Wood of Southaven; children, Bobby Pendergrast and his wife Seresta of Nashville, TN, Tracie McCaulley and her husband Christian of Horn Lake, MS, and Elizabeth Powell and her husband Marcus of Horn Lake; grandchildren, Reba Mercado and her husband Omar of Southaven, Kristi Hernandez and her husband Bladmir of Southaven, Samantha Sanders and her husband Sean of Knoxville, TN, Daniel Colston of Southaven, Jachob Colston of Southaven, Evan Lamkin of Horn Lake, Andrew McCaulley of Horn Lake and Jesse Powell of Horn Lake; great-grandchildren, Carlos Tapia, Brianna Miranda, Kelsey Villatrio, Christopher Villatrio, Savannah Dupaz, Kalytin Dupaz, Levi Linarez, Hennley Sanders, Raylee Chandler, Lexi Bich, and Isabella Bich; nephew, Kimble Brown; niece, Sherrie Waldrop; and her cousin, Ricky Long.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Reba Pendergrast; parents, Thomas and Peggy Brown; grandchild, Peyton Sanders; and her brother, Wayne Brown.
