ERICKSON, Penny Helen - age 64, of Bancroft, passed away September 22, 2025. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Grace Lighthouse Church PCG, 4269 Durand Rd, Durand, MI 48429. A private burial will take place at North Fremont Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI (please note Miller Rd. will be closed from 4:45 PM-5:45 PM Friday night for Homecoming Parade). Visitation will also be held from 10 AM - 11 AM Saturday at the church. Contributions may be made to the food bank at Grace Lighthouse Church PCG, 4269 Durand Rd, Durand, MI 48429. Penny was born June 21, 1961 in Flint, the daughter of Miles and Kathryn (Thorpe) Hubbard. She married Daniel Erickson on July 9, 1977. She was a devoted wife and mother, a beloved aunt and animal lover. Penny was a great cook and loved to cook for her family. She enjoyed feeding hummingbirds and orioles. She is survived by: her husband of 48 years, Daniel Erickson; beloved daughter, Hannah Erickson-Wendt and husband, Cody Wendt; three siblings, Darold (Cheryl) Hubbard, Russell (Candy) Hubbard, and Teresa (John) Durr; many beloved nieces and nephews; special friends, Junior, Cindi, George and Dave. She was preceded in death by her parents, Miles and Kathryn Hubbard. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
