Penny Gough

Obituary for Penny Gough Penny Diane Fry Gough passed away peacefully at her home on August 8, 2025. She was born on June 3, 1938, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Doris Baxter and Lee Ralph Fry. She was the youngest of the Fry clan. Bob, Richard, Stan, Pat and Penny. Penny was a devoted wife to her late husband, Eugene Gough, and the most amazing mother to her daughter, Liane and sons, Loren and Noel. She was also a proud grandmother to Famika, Penny, Max, Brittany and Tyson. Great grandmother to Liane Rey, Savani, Fia'alii, Litia, Famika, Penny, Gavin, Rowan and Talia. Penny was our resident royalty as the Days of '47 attendant in 1956. Her grace, beauty and kindness are the markers of her life. She was adventurous, loved skiing and hiking, being outdoors and exploring new places. She was an avid learner. Penny earned her Associate Degree and carried a deep appreciation for education, hard work, and personal growth. She will be remembered for her warmth, quiet strength, and the way she cared deeply for those she loved. Her family and friends will miss her tremendously. A graveside service will be held in her honor on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. MDT at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. All who knew and loved Penny are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.
