My name is Mike Maynard and I am a Pastoral Care volunteer with Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moline. I had the pleasure of praying with Penny and bringing her holy Eucharist every other Wednesday for the past several months. Penny always greeted me with a smile and was always grateful for the short visits that we had. I truly looked forward to our visits. The last time we spoke she shared how she had been at Heartland for nearly a year and how difficult it was to be so far from home and from her children... I could tell that she loved you all greatly. I will miss our Wednesday visits but I am grateful that I got to know Penny just a bit. I will pray for Penny and for all of you as you mourn her passing. May she rest in Gods peace.
