Percy Joseph Guidry

Percy Joseph Guidry passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the age of 78. He was born in New Orleans, LA on August 9, 1943 and was a resident of New Sarpy, LA. Percy was an avid fisherman, hunter and carpenter. He enjoyed camping and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and going to baseball games. He was a member of VFW Post 3337, served in the US Army during The Vietnam War, 1965-1967 and was a Charter Member of St. Charles United Methodist Church, Destrehan, LA. He retired from Pellerin Milnor after 40 years of service.
Beloved husband of Rev. Earline Tabor Guidry. Father of Angelle Guidry Hankenhof (Heath Fremin), Andre Guidry (Annie) and Antoinette Guidry Sellars (Kenneth). Grandfather of Julia Dupre (Elijah), Kenneth W. Sellars, Amanda Hankenhof, Hans Hankenhof, Ashley Sibley (Samuel), Madison Fremin and Emma Fremin. Son of the late Elvire Kliebert Guidry and Anicet Joseph Guidry. Brother of Gladys Rodriguez (Holden), Rose Zeto (the late Jimmy), Josie Herbert (the late Merlin), Jane Herbert (the late Earl) and the late Elsie Stone (the late Bill), Edmae Martin (the late Chester) Cecile Tamburello (the late Walter) and Cleve Guidry (the late Louella). Son-in-law of the late Claude and Aline Tabor. Brother-in-law of Dianne Duhon (the late Elmore) and Gary Tabor (Kim). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a great, great, great uncle and will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his dog, "Sweet Girl", Sandi.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Service at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Saturday, August 13, 2022.
