Perry Allen Cornette

ALBANY - Perry Allen Cornette, age 57, died Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, Ga. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Georgia Veterans State Park at 2:00 p.m. Please contact the family for more information regarding the services.

Allen was born in Alabama to the Perry C. Clegg and the late Billie Cornette Clegg. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Wagoner Herrington. Allen was known for his strong work ethic and was employed as a repairman at Rochelle Tire. He valued hard work and approached every task with dedication. Allen had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, especially fishing - an activity he often shared with his sister, who remembers those moments fondly. Though he lived a simple life, Allen was generous and kind-hearted, always willing to lend a hand or give the shirt off his back to someone in need.

Allen is survived by his sister, April Womack Chiaverini of Statesboro, Ga.; his nieces: Shelby Garbett and her husband Tyran, Brook Wagoner, and Destiny Wagoner; his nephew, Cody Hudson and his wife Taylor; his employer and friend: Freeneau Walton, and several grand nieces and nephews.
