Dr. Perry W. Hollembeak

Dr. Perry Whitman Hollembeak, DDS passed away from this life on Monday, December 18, 2023, after a brief illness. Perry was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on December 5, 1932 to Trebie Arlene and Loren Whitman Holllembeak. Awaiting him in heaven is his beloved wife, Anita, with whom he enjoyed many, many happy years of marriage.
Perry was a graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport and Loyola Dental School in New Orleans. Upon graduation from dental school, he joined the United States Naval Reserves and served for ten years including a tour of active duty on the U. S. S. Hector.
Perry was adored by all who met him. Over the years of his profession, he was passionate about sharing and teaching his expertise to others and traveled the United States and its territories to do so. He served as President of the Louisiana Dental Association 1974 -1975. His office and staff were an extension of his family and he enjoyed many long term relationships with some of his team that endured throughout his life. He was a wise, loving, charming gentleman and congenial to all who crossed his path.
Mourning his loss are his nephews, Mark Niblett and his wife, Lisa, Sugg Niblett and his wife, Angie, Joe Niblett and his wife, Linda, Christian Dyer, and Chris Martin; his nieces, Katy Burton and Chelsea Torn; and his sister, Karen Smith; and his devoted helper, Mary Daniel; along with many extended family members and friends.
A graveside service honoring the life of Dr. Perry Hollembeak will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2023, in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Hughes Springs, Texas, where he will be laid to rest next to his beloved Anita. Officiating the service will be Dr. Carl E. Rhoads of First Methodist Church.
