Pete Small

Walter "Pete" Small, age 79, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, in Greenwood, IN. Born on May 23, 1945, in Portland, Maine. Pete was a devout member of Shawnee Alliance Church from 1989 until 2018 and subsequently joined Mount Pleasant Christian Church, where he worshipped until his passing in 2024. Pete's faith was the cornerstone of his life. His quiet service to those often forgotten and generosity will be greatly missed. 

 He leaves behind his loving wife, Susan, sons Jason and Ryan, daughters-in-law’s Whitney and Sam, and his cherished grandchildren, Delaney, Bennett, Lia, Brayden, and Emerson. Additionally, Pete served as a foster papaw to 10 additional children, showing these kids love they deeply deserved. Pete's life was enriched by his family's love and support.

 Pete dedicated over five decades to his career as a semi-truck owner and operator, showcasing his commitment and hard work in the transportation industry.

 Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel (2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143). The memorial service will commence at 2:00 pm at the same location.

 Pete Small will be remembered as a dedicated family man and a respected member of his community. His legacy will live on through the lives of those he touched.
