Peter Francis Baldus, was born February 9, 1963 in Elm Grove, Wisconsin, and went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2025 at the age of 62. He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara, and sister Elizabeth (Betty) Neuman.
He is survived by his beloved wife of over 22 years, Karen (Lindsey) Baldus, his 95-year-old father, Joseph, his siblings; Jim (Pam), Ellie Bartz (Greg), Jack (Tim Davis), and Joe (Missy) and brother-in-law Dave Neuman. He was a proud uncle to Amie Baldus, Danielle (Baldus) Kiel, Ben Gunn, and Jenni (Gunn) Thompson, and 6 great nieces, and nephews.
Peter graduated from Waukesha County Technical College in the Culinary Arts. His career as a chef included the Milwaukee Country Club, head chef of the Red Circle Inn, and Stevens Point Country Club.
Peter and Karen were married on October 5, 2002. Karen, the love of his life, was his rock and caregiver through a long journey of health challenges. While, they spent most of their life together in Wisconsin, Peter and Karen spent his last few years in Karen’s home state, Kentucky.
He will always be remembered as an incredible husband, wonderful son and brother, a great chef, and a man who was full of love and joy. Most importantly, he will be remembered as a man who endured countless challenges, and grew his strength, his faith, and his relationship with God to a level that inspired others and blessed many.
Peter was cremated at Cone Funeral Home, Bowling Green, KY. A Celebration of Life gathering of family and friends was held July 5, 2025 at Ohio County Park, Hartford, KY
